Molly the Mighty

and the Unwanted Diet

Molly and fizz loved prawn and cocktail pringles. They loved biscuits. They loved the cakes gran made and the chocolate dad brouhght home from his business trip to Belgium.

But they often found themselves running put of breath climbing stairs.

Sadly, Molly couldn't warn fizz before...

"Mum! My teeth hurt, I'm really unfit and my tummy hurts all the time!"

" Oh, poor petal! I'll organize a family meeting!"

Dad and Molly, listening in from the living room, groaned.

"the eating habits are despicable in this household! From now on I'm going to start cooking proper meals."

"Isn't that Lauren's job? Molly asked, distraught at the thought of having to eat her mother's cooking.

"Lauren has enough work cleaning up after you two!"

" I don't make that much of a mess!"

"Not you, Arthur!" snapped mum. "But what you can stop doing is bringing home plane-fulls of sweets. From now on I'll won't be buying any more chocolate, sweets, ice-cream, biscuits or cakes ever again."

Molly felt like her nervous system just shut down! She couldn't see!

Molly had spent the whole day scavenging yummy things From all around the house. She stuffed the big pile at the back of her wardrobe. She considered making Fizz hold the heavy burden of keeping the snack bank, Molly could no

longer trust her.

"This is the ultra-mega secret chocolate bank, which goes under the code-name

'Sneezing Giraffe'. She told Fizz. " And if you even vaguely consider blabbing to Mum... your going to really wish your name wasn't Fizz Woods!"

Weeks passed, and dinner conditions became disgusting since Mum had vowed to cook herself. Chili that looked like it had passed through the digestive system of a goat. Vegertarian shepard's pie.The very worst had the be the chika tika masala, as it had a striking resemblance to brain. It didn't help that everything was accompanied with vast sides of broccoli, peas, sting beans, cabbages, and those little green outlaws, brussel sprouts. If it weren't for the Sneezing Giraffe, Molly wasn't sure if she'd survive.

"What are you doing" asked Fizz. Molly was laying the table, and took a chocolate cake out of a box.

"It's Lauren's birthday today. I haven't pulled any jokes for a while, so Mum has trusted me to go out and buy a cake." Molly answered.

"That's an explosive cake isn't it?" declared Fizz, knowing her sister well.

"Yep. One slice, and KABOOM!"

"Please don't do it. You torture Lauren enough, but not on her birthday!"

"Come on! It'll be a laugh!" cackled Molly.

"Thank you, so much everyone!" said Lauren, gleefully after the Woods family had finished singing Happy Birthday.

"Go on, Lauren, cut the cake!" called Molly, sweetly.

"No, Lauren, don't! shouted Fizz.

"Fizz, don't be so rude!" answered Molly

"Oh, all right then. Nice choice in-"

BOOM!

Smoke filled the kitchen and left everyone coughing.

"-flavors, by the way." a soot-ridden Lauren continued.

"Happy Birthday!" yelled Molly.

That evening, Molly was enjoying Attembrough's snake episode, when Mum called:"Molly up here, now!"

Molly skipped upstairs, filled with joy after her victory.

"Can you explain what all this is." asked Mum, pointing to the Sneezing Giraffe.

"Well, it's chocolate, obviously!"

"Don't get clever with me!" bellowed Mum. Fizz walked in

"Molly, can I borrow some-"

"You pathetic insect!" screamed Molly lungeing.

"Stop strangling your sister! It wasn't her anyway!" yelled Mum.

"Oh," raged Molly "Who was the betraying turd, then?"

"Lauren, she knew about this for weeks! I think it was the cake that pushed her over the edge. We're going to throw this all out NOW!" vowed Mum.

"NO! You can't expect a child to live in vegetables and stuff like that. We need sugar!" argued Molly.

"I suppose you're right. Let's try eating a balance of healthy stuff and junk from now on, okay?" urged Mum.

"That sound's bomb diggity!" was the answer.
