I see shooting stars
They are for now and forever,
I see them time and again
The peculiar shooting endeavour.

Part of ecstasy, part of life
They are free, they are pride,
I know them all, they are mine
The shooting stars divine.

Shoot, shoot----shoot till you rest.
From pleasures to earth unrest—
I see them in, I see them out,
The shooting star is earth cloud.

I see them in me, I see them in you,
Finding their way through mist and fog
Aware of their final fate at last--
They burn out without a single blast.

I see shooting stars
They are for now and forever,
Elegance blended with silence—
Passes the saga of this majestic presence.
