It's the small things we miss...
I remember not too long ago.
In my small, Country home.
That white Christmas.
The forest was covered in snow.
But now where I am, I fear there will be no more snow…

I go to the Mall in search of snow, I hear Santa has some!
But it’s just Fake, Plastic, Snow.

I go to the market in search of snow.
They have it in bags, cans and sheets.
Just more Fake, Plastic, Snow.

The waves lapping against the shore scold me for being foolish…
“There will be no snow”
The palm trees tell me harshly…
“There will be no snow!!”

I run to a drink stand, the sign says snow!
But, the small snowball they give will never be enough.

A cool breeze that blows around me, it chills me to the bone, but contained within it,
No snow…
Tired after a long day of hunting for something that will never come, I go home.
There will be no snow…
I woke up this morning to find my world covered in white!
It’s REAL snow! Falling from the sky!
I grab my coat and run out the door.
It hurts my feet and stings my body, but I’m so happy!
That after the Hot, Sweltering Summer.
And the Warm Fall,
There was
Real.
Real, Wonderful, Snow!
