An Addicts Struggle
The glass full of the clear liquid felt heavy in her hand. Not because of the actual weight but because if she took a sip it would bring to an end her era of sobriety, six years worth of not drinking would be down the drain. The blame would be laid at her feet, she should have been stronger, she should have known better than to rely on the devil's liquid rather than her friends or family.

Family, she thought bitterly, what a joke. Her husband, the one who had helped her get clean in the first place was the reason she was contemplating jumping off the wagon. If only he could keep his pants zipped then she would not feel so humiliated. People had seen him out with her best friend, laughing and carrying on as if they weren't betraying the one person that they claimed they loved more than anyone else in the world.

“Get a hold of yourself DeAnna,” She chastised herself. She surveyed the kitchen, the kids had been making cookies before they went to bed. In just a few days, they would be celebrating the arrival of Santa. She sat the class on the table and began cleaning up the mess, maybe if she kept her mind busy the temptation of taking that sip would disappear. She gathered all of the dishes and put them in the sink, as the tears began to fall.

Before she realized what was happening, she was at the table and gulping down the forbidden contents of the glass. Opening the freezer, she found the bottle that held what she wanted, she thought about pouring more in the canteen and instead tipped the bottle to her lips. The familiar warm feeling spread throughout her body, it was almost peaceful. It seemed so weird that though the liquid was cold, it spread warmth once it hit the body, there had to be a scientific reason why but at that moment all she cared about was the feeling.

She made her way into the living room, she sat in her favorite rocker. Next to it was a pile of legos,  which she had asked the children to pick up before bedtime. Oh well, she thought, as more of the liquid hit her throat. She smiled as she remembered times when drinking was fun, back when she was young herself. Back when she was in college, she would go to fraternity parties with her friends and they would always drink too much and end up sleeping with the fraternity brothers. The morning after they would always laugh about the guys that they had ended up with the previous evening. The laughter stopped when she ended up bedding her psychology professor.

After college, she moved to Chicago, big city life agreed with her. Soon she found herself part of a clique that went out drinking every night. Working nine to five and then spending time with her new found friends, there was no time for romance. Then one of her friends made a remark about how celibate life must drive her crazy, that night she showed him who was acting like a nun. The booze flowed and men flocked to the group, which included DeAnna, 2 other women, and a gay man, none of them ever paid for a drink. After a heavy night of partying, she would take a lucky guy, or two, back to her apartment, and in the morning would share details with her friends.  The laughter stopped when she ended up bedding her married boss.

Then Daniel entered her life. He insisted that she clean up her act and begin acting like the lady he knew she was. When she met him, he was fighting for custody of his son and didn't want to endanger his case by bringing a drunkard home. She agreed to rehab, and checked herself in, immediately hitting it off with fellow patient Tonya. Tonya the one now screwing her husband, the one who was suppose to help keep her sober. She held up the bottle as if offering a toast as that thought hit her.

She was startled when the door swung open, she sat the bottle down. Now was the time for a confrontation with Daniel, she would let him know that he was doing her wrong and she no longer was going to take it. She snarled “Welcome home,”

“DeAnna?” It was DJ, not the senior. She took in her stepson and realized for the first time that he was a very attractive young man. He had just turned 18, and his face still looked very young, but the rest of him looked manly. His arms as thick as tree trunks, swelled pecs that strained his already tight shirt, and jeans that fell off of his body much to the delight of the female population. “Are you OK? You're looking at me weird,”

“I'm horny DJ,” She answered, the bottle now forgotten. Other ideas and activities were now filling her  head, ones that would be very painful for Daniel, should he ever find out about it. She moved slowly towards the boy, hungry eyes taking him in. “Your father wants me to sit here with a dry pussy and a knitting magazine in my lap. I won't do it, I can't do it. I need to be satisfied physically, I'm still young. Don't you think I'm young and beautiful?”

“uh, um, Yea of course,” The boy stuttered. Despite his best efforts he was aroused and hoping that things were going the way he wanted them to. DeAnna moved to face him, and took off her clothes quickly, and helped DJ take his off. She moved in for a kiss, as their bodies melted together. Soon she was riding the wave of pleasure that can only come from bedding a younger man, after they both climaxed they laughed. The laughter stopped when Daniel walked in and seen them naked together.
