Getting by in this cruel world is a daunting task that takes faith and modesty - a poem.
A long and narrow highway
Branching out in all directions,
Layered in asphalt and spanning countless miles:
A triumphant and magical path,
Soaring and plunging to its zenith and lowest points,
The economical, but winding road
Of our logical, yet satisfying visions…

Humanity pursues its wildest dreams
With a stirring passion and deepest desire,
Undaunted by demons.
But only sacrifice can satisfy this vigilant beast
Of willfulness and unerring truths…

Nature offers the innocent and the guilty
Its spaceship to leave this cruel and dismal planet;
But staying on this blue, green orb
Requires faith, a mindfulness that is
Solemnly shared, and being at peace
With God's glorious and righteous plan...
