the small number who ruin it by giving the reputation reasoning.
Heavy bags, that stairwell smell,
distant echoes through the stairwell fell,
aware you're there, this they can tell,
footsteps in the stairwell smell.

Shadowed faces against the walls,
mobile phones and whispered calls,
dogs on leashes, six feet tall,
these stairway smells contain them all.

Rushing down, heart rate rises,
stairwell smell has no surprises,
thousands taken in different sizes,
your just the same, a piƱata of prizes.

Left for nothing, there is no fault,
except to you for where you walked.

A light in place, “stairwell smell change,”
this is what the people claim.
