post-apocalyptic poem
The sunlight gleams
On things that were beautiful
When they could be seen
But now the eyes are blind

The silence murmurs
Echoing the sounds
Combining as a sigh
But now the ears are deaf

The shadows dance
Upon the rubble
Towers that swallowed the sky
Pave the undisturbed ground

The world is without life
Because of our hate
And never before has it been
Such a peaceful place
