Writers need a place of refuge. I found mine during twilight time - where I could be ME.
For me, twilight moments are those special instances that need to be relished and spent well. These moments allow me to indulge in self-contemplation... as I empty my thoughts from the clutter brought about by earlier worries and doubts accumulated during the day. ~ SittieCates

The sky burst into an array of soft, magical colors

soft hues of yellow, orange, blue, and smoky grey

The sun hovering overhead began its slow descent

And soft gusts of wind passed through the leaves of the trees

I sat on an old, dusty oak tree stump

Resting on a plush of mossy, green grass

The sun splashed trinkets of colorful rays

Illuminating on the deep, blue sea

Breathing its farewell

Ending yet another day

Silence dawned on the horizon

Gazing at the sky

I waited for the stars to appear

I sat there... transfixed

Enthralled by the wonder

Of nature's magical charm

Breathing in the scent of wild flowers nearby

A hint of contented sigh escaped my lips

This is my refreshing refuge from the chaos of the world

Where the anguished cries of humanity

never echo in the breeze

I stood up

Dusted off myself... and walked on

It is time to move on...

But I'll be back again tomorrow

To experience

The beauty and calmness

at twilight hour.
