A poem about death and immortality
Sorrow sees only lose,
The missing puzzle piece,
Weeps for the departed,
Trying to drown our grief.

Hope sees the possible,
The door to paradise,
Opens for the faithful,
Gives eternal life.

Faith sees beyond the veil,
That hides from mortal eyes,
The souls of those who passed,
Living eternal lives.

Prayer love’s reaction,
To black winged Azreal,
After his embrace takes,
A soul from matter’s hell.

Line count: 16
Form: A Yama is composed of quatrain (4-line) stanzas, without stanza limits. Each line has six syllables, with a rhyme scheme of a, b, c, b …. The subject of this poem is death, grief, sorrow or simply a poem of loss and the poem must have a title.
