A woman whos life/marriage has left her without her own identity.
What happens to your life
your strengths, your dreams
The day you become a wife?

What happens to your heart
to your spirit, to your self
When this joined life shall start?

Do you just quit dreaming
or do you just give in?
No more you think of yourself
only what about him?

What will he say or
how will he feel?
See how quickly
I am not even real?

What is my name?
What do I see?
How long before I can be me?

What do you think of this woman
no more the girl I used to be?
Some times she is screaming
Please won't you see me?

See me for myself
Not your wife or their mother
Please try to reach me
For you should even more than others.

What it must be like
to have the best in life.
No give
only take
how can you mistake?

Will you miss me in the way I miss myself
Will you hate me or cry for me
When you wake to find me gone?

I won't turn around
There will be no going back
courage that used to live here
no longer will I lack.

I may not can stay
I may not know my home
but the future I've yet to meet
encourages me to roam

I'll face down your demon
and I will do it on my own.
