To let pain out some must feel it
My sides burn, I feel the blood pouring out.
I look upon my destruction taking place.
The knife falls from my hand my blood dripping from its point.
With each drop I see one of my sorrows escaping.
They echo in my mind,
*drop* rape
*drop* death
*drop* abuse
My past takes its toll, and the emotions become too much to bare.
I’m a bomb ready to explode at any minute.
These burdens each leaving scars for only me to see.
I feel the sharp blade piercing my skin, I let out a breath of content.
For that instant as I see the blood leave my body, and my burdens with it
I feel at peace.
And then just like that a scar appears and my burdens return,
Planting their seeds in my inner places where no one lie.
My physical pain isn’t enough to rid these demons.
To my horror I realize they are here to stay.
Forever…….
