My entry for the 2012 Official WDC "Dear Me" Contest.
Dear Me,

You are almost sixty years old. What are you going to do with the rest of your life?

Things definitely have taken a turn for the worse over the last few years. Can you find a path through this wilderness?

I think you can. You know why? Because you are not a quitter. You keep trying and trying and trying. You change your approach and try again.

There are more years behind you than ahead of you. You aren't particularly happy with the way those earlier years have turned out, are you? Nope. So what are you going to do about it?

Tell a new story.

You are writing the script of your life. Although you aren't writing it all by yourself, you are a very important contributing editor. What are you going to add to the story of your life this year?

Writing? Oh, yes, please do! Add lots and lots of writing to the story this year. Write articles. Write memoirs. Write.

While you are at it, how about making some money with your writing? You really need to move in that direction. You have potential. Get some articles out there and start promoting them. Do it today!

What else will be in this new story?

Enjoy life! Enjoy the life you have now. Squeeze every bit of enjoyment you can out of every moment. Embrace those you love. Embrace those who love you. Pay attention to the folks in your life. Listen to them. Truly get to know them. Savor the moments of your life and the time you spend with friends and family.

What is the frosting on the cake in this new story?

Worship!

It is the best part of the earlier chapters of your life. Let it blossom and fill every crevice in this new story. Eat, sleep and breathe worship. Remember GOD loves you! Love HIM back. Worship HIM.

Write, enjoy, worship . . . what a grand life that would be!

Go for it!

I love you.
