A series of adventures told from the perspective of Ashe Jaive.
The soft breath of wind rustled in the trees, and the soft scent of honey drifted across my tongue. The birds flitted through the clear blue sky. My ash brown hair ruffled in the breeze, so I adjusted my blue plaid headband. A lot of people would not realize it's significance without seeing the rest of what I wore. A baggy, white polo, blue plaid shorts. Blue plaid neckerchief, a white bag with blue stripes. I charm of a black and bown dog. Big, sturdy, black boots, with dirty blue laces. I wore a lot of blue, black, and white. In fact, my whole wardrobe consited of nothing but the stuff. That's beside the point though.
On this particular day, I happened to be twelve years old. I was at the orphonage that I had spent my whole life at. It was not a special day, just your average Saturday. That day, two kids came to our quaint orphange, in Eugene. They were both boys, recently orphaned. Ages 7 and 11. Lunan and Owen Ansa. The boys we're Arabic. I believe they said Egyptian, but I honestly did not care. At first I stayed away from the new kids, just reading my big blue book as usual. Sketching things in my black book. Writing in my white book. Everything was so simple. Owen was fairly antisocial, being so new, and wouldn't let Lunan out of his sight.
Of course, that didn't stop Lunan from coming up to me when he WAS in Owen sight.
"Hey! Hey! Hey! What are you reading, huh?"
Kids. Sometimes I wonder how I managed to keep my sanity intact.
"I'm reading the works of Conan Doyle."
I suppose, that I was fairly rude, then, and, if I had been the slightest bit more polite, then my life would have been entirely different.

Mostly because Lunan, Owen, and I were so closely weaved into the fabric of the universe. I guess it was fate.
