Our world runs on materialism and superficial ideals. Please comment. *Revised*
We find ourselves at a point of fragile feeling
Nothing can be said without deep reflection.
The slightest slight wounds deep, revealing
insecurities unknown, beyond detection.

Thoughts now twisted to honor our foes,
Acceptance slips off the tongue with effortless ease.
New minds come forth on the song of crows,
No turning back for those swept away in deceit.

Lust hungers for new life, devoid of moral code.
Desire crowned king and weakness his weapon.
Excited we are to give in, eager to forgo
living for reason without further mention.

Hands once held firm, a face of meaning
Slow the forfeit, into history's vault.
But now embrace internal grieving
fingers silent, echo, "Your fault".
