I think Writing doesn't pay much, at least initially
Does Writing pay enough?

One fine day, I decided that I'm gonna leave everything, and start writing, and make my profession as a Writer. It was there as one of my last wishes of my life that I'll write a book one day on my country and its people at least. If God or my life gives me ample opportunity to write more then I'll do so too.

Thankfully, God has given me that opportunity to write more. But, I'm not earning enough to meet my expenses even. Maybe it happens with most of the writers at least initially if not in later stages of their writing career.

Why doesn't writing pay enough? Is there any way a writer can earn more and meet their expenses and some basic necessities? These questions are bugging me these days. I'm earning through writing, no doubt, but as of now it's not enough.

I don't want to leave writing and go back to other professions, but the situation could lead a writer to venture into the other fields. What must a writer do to save his writing career?

I'll love to get answers from the great writers of our community, maybe it could save me, a writer, and inspire me to continue with a writing career for long enough.
