A little bit of a bigger project that's been stuck in my head.
Geoffrey was sitting comfortably in his massive four poster bed, tucked neatly in the piles of satin sheets and propped up on a couple of fluffy pillows. His blonde hair fanned out behind him, curling around his ears. He held a book in his hands, studying its contents intently as though preparing for some exam. A pair of spectacles sat on his straight nose, which he tweaked now and again with a slim finger.

He had just turned a page and began dissecting a section on early Hunshien battle tactics when a heavenly vision appeared in his doorway.
He noticed it out of the corner of his blue eyes, and, after reading a few lines, glanced up at it, only to make a startled double-take. It was Mayriss, clad in naught but a very thin, very revealing nightdress, which ended at her upper thighs and showed off her slim curves very nicely. Geoffrey could not help himself from staring at her, subconsciously releasing a small, astonished breath. He looked down his glasses not disapprovingly , one hand on the frame as if to pull them off.

Mayriss looked at the floor and blushed, hands behind her back.

"Good evening," she said softly, her voice tinged with something he could not quite place. He liked it, and kicked himself mentally for it.

"If you wish to keep your purity, young lady, I suggest you refrain from such displays." Those were difficult words for him to say, especially when what he wanted to do was exactly the opposite of what he was precautioning. She looked up at him now, large, brown eyes widening with....pain? He motioned her to the bed with his hand, laying the book down beside him on his nightstand. She crossed the dimly-lit room gingerly, hopping on the bed's satin surface with the dammed-back excitement of an expectant child who wasn't sure if they were in trouble or about to get a treat.

Geoffrey pulled off his glasses, rubbing the space between his brows in what seemed to be exasperation but was really frustration. After a moment he looked at her, a warm feeling filling his broad chest at the sight of her so close to him. Her sweet perfume reached his nostrils, causing a slight flush to rise to his porcelain cheeks.

"You are in a very dangerous situation."

It was painfully true, however you looked at it. He wanted nothing more than to slip the lacy piece of fabric off of her slight body and have his way, which could last until God knew when. And then some.

"I want to give myself to you," she blurted out, her own face aflame. He was taken aback, but obviously not unpleased. It wasn't as if he hadn't been expecting it. What else could a beautiful young girl want if she showed up in your doorway dressed like a lady of the night?

It was her previous statement that held him back, however, nagging at his mind unrelentingly. And, oddly enough, he wanted to honor it. It was a beautiful thing, purity, and one that should not be wasted. He loved her like this, a pure white flower in a choking bed of thorns. He could love her forever like this, no matter how much he wished to make her his.

Apparently now would have to be the time, he thought, for it was obvious no would not be an appropriate answer. The look on her lovely face was expectant, and she radiated longing. It was now or never.

He leaned closer to her, his hand reaching out to take hers. His face was very close, and he could barely hold back from giving her a passionate kiss, which would undoubtedly lead to other pursuits.

"Then give yourself to me," he whispered softly, voice thickened with pent-up lust."On our wedding night."

It was as if time had stopped. Her breathing ceased altogether, and her eyes widened, pupils growing small. Geoffrey's heart thudded in his bare chest.

Tears began to form in the corners of Mayriss's eyes.

"Mayriss, will you marry me?"

The tears overflowed now, and one of her childlike hands was drawn up to her perfectly formed mouth which he had had the pleasure of kissing so many times. She drew her legs up to herself and nodded her head in reply.

"Yes," she cried, a sob escaping from behind her fingers.

He leaned back and opened the drawer in his nightstand, retrieving a small box which he opened carefully. Out of it he withdrew a delicate-looking ring, made of purest gold and set with gleaming diamonds shaped like tiny roses. He took the hand from her full, peachy lips and slipped it on, making sure it was on snugly before kissing it softly, pressing his own lips to the charm firmly, sealing the deal.

He sat up then, and took her in his muscled arms, pressing her thin body to his own gently. Her head fit just beneath his own, resting in the crook of his neck perfectly. Her warm tears rolled down his skin and fell on the blankets occasionally, which he wiped away with the back of his hand.

"Look at me."

She did so, rubbing at her eyes self-consciously.

"I love you." He meant it, with every fibre of his being, his heart and mind and soul and body. He shook from head to toe, the burning in his heart consuming him.

"And I love you."

He planted a kiss on her lips, making it last as long as possible before pulling back, tucking some stray hair behind her ears."I had planned on asking you at a more appropriate time, but....well, I believe now was as appropriate as it could get," he chuckled, rubbing his new fiancee's back gently with his manly hands. She snuggled into his side and buried her face in him, still sniffing quietly from all that joyous crying. Inside, Geoffrey was ecstatic, and kissed the top of her head before laying her down with him, pulling up the covers around them and turning off the lamp softly. They lay there for the rest of the night in silent slumber, limbs intertwined and hearts beating as one.
