free form verse brought forth by grief

Terrific lightning to the south ...
and
en fin,
the rain has begun
here.

Blessed relief,
Heaven's teardrops.
The hosta, planted today,
welcomes it thirstily.

Though clouds veil the sky,
the stars remain.
Just out of our view...

for a short time.

They will be visible again.

Tears will cease,
eyes will clear,

and, the beauty will be
available

once again,
after
the dust, and grime
is washed from the sky.
