This is a poem written in the form of a Tritina.
She drenches the toast with butter
Glistening fingers eschewing napkins
Left hand reaches for the coffee mug

She blows over the rim of the steaming mug
Smiles, teeth exposed, lips dripping in butter
Talks animatedly using her sleeves as napkins

Food sprays in her excitement, ignores the napkins
She lifts the coffee to her lips, drinks long from the mug
I’m disgusted and fascinated by all the dribbling butter

Mug empty, napkins used to clean off butter, finally
