Cho's POV

I couldn't believe that I was back in West Oak!

All the actors and actresses got an occasional break, and I chose to come back home. I couldn't wait to see my friends again. We were planning to meet at the country club that afternoon. I was so excited!

At around 11, I grabbed my beach bag and put on my sunglasses. The limo was outside waiting, and climbed in. Then we were off!

The summer breeze felt way better than the bitter Canadian air. I felt so free that I opened the mini fridge and grabbed a bottle of soda. We were strictly banned from any junk food on set. I opened the bottle and took a giant gulp.

I was about to take another one when my phone beeped.

Text message from Jake

Meet me at the fountain! I have a surprise... :)

I smiled. What would Jake have in store for me this time?

The limo stopped in a private area of the country club. I quickly got out and ran towards the fountain. The fountain was huge. The water flowed like a waterfall. It was the most beautiful part of the estate.

Upon approaching the fountain, I heard Jake's voice. I was immediately even happier than before. But then I heard someone else's voice. It sounded like-

Crystal McGee?

She was the Queen Bee of WOMS! What was she doing with Jake?

I hid behind a tree and looked at them.

"Oh, Jakey pie! Are you coming to my party next week?"

"You betcha, Crissykins! I can't wait. But you know how Cho is..."

Crystal groaned.

"Oh, forget about that no good wannabe! She is a loser, and you don't deserve her. You did way better than that-you have me now!"

Jake smiled and they both leaned in.

That did it.

I jumped from behind the tree and speed walked up to them.

"Jake!" I yelled. "What are you doing?!"

They stopped and looked at me. Jake looked shocked to see me. "Oh, uh, Cho! It's not what it looks like! I-"

"Shut up! It is what it looks like!"

Crystal smirked. "Yeah, like you know."

I turned towards her. "Stay out of this! You stole my boyfriend, and you still have the guts to talk to me?"

Crystal stood up and got right in my face. "Who said he was YOUR boyfriend? He's MINE, loser. So YOU stay out of this."

That was when she crossed the line. "Oh, you son of a-" and I slapped her in her pretty little face.

Crystal clutched her face. I turned to Jake. "And you! How dare you do this? Is THIS your SURPRISE? Ha, do you know how much I suffered doing that stupid movie just for you guys?" Then I slapped him too.

I ran out the country club and back into the waiting limo.

Jake's POV

My cheek was stinging really badly. Crystal was in a worse condition, though. She had a scare across her right cheek.

I couldn't believe Cho did that. I mean, Cho is really pretty, but she can be cruel too. Crystal is someone who really GETS me. If I told HER she could leave, she wouldn't. That shows how smart Cho is.

Anyway, after we had 'treated' our faces, Crystal and I went our separate ways. She went back home in her Range Rover, me in my limo.

When I got home, my mom was waiting for me on the couch.

"Oh, hey mom! What's up?"

She looked maaaaad.

"What did you do to Cho?"

I sighed.

Here we go again.

"Look mom, it really wasn't my fault. I just got a new girlfriend when she went away, but she kinda found out."

Mom glared at me. "That's called cheating, Jacob. Now, I want you to go upstairs and apologize to her."

What?! "But, mom!"

"No buts! I want you to do it THIS INSTANT!" Oops. She was yelling.

I got in the elevator and took it upstairs. Cho's door was locked, and I had to press the button on the intercom FOREVER until she finally answered.

"Who the heck is it?"

"Jake."

"Go away!"

"I came here to apologize!"

There was silence, but Cho finally buzzed me in. I opened the door and stepped inside.

The room was a mess. There were broken things, ripped up papers, and- soda cans? -everywhere. Cho was in her recording studio when I came in. She put her headphones around her neck and hit a button in the booth.

"Sit."

I sat down on the chair in front of the booth. Cho glared at me. I tried to look away, but her eyes were icy.

"SO???"

I sighed again.

"I'm sorry, OK? I really am. It's just that, I didn't think you would actually GO when I said yes."

"What else did you want me to do?"

"I don't know, maybe, NOT GO?"

Cho glared at me.

"Shut up."

"OK, OK! Anyway, I needed a replacement to fill your spot, and Crystal was the one."

"So, I'm just a toy you can play around with? So that when you can't have me you have a REPLACEMENT?"

There was silent.

Cho took a deep breath. "Would like to hear the song I was recording?"

I nodded.

Cho pressed another button.

I probably shouldn't say this

But at times I get so scared

When I think about the previous

Relationship we've shared

It was awesome but we lost it

It's not possible for me not to care

And now we're standing in the rain

But nothing's ever gonna change until you hear, my dear

The 7 things I hate about you

The 7 things I hate about you (oh you)

You're vain, your games, you're insecure

You love me, you like her

You make me laugh, you make me cry

I don't know which side to buy

Your friends they're jerks

And when you act like them, just know it hurts

I wanna be with the one I know

And the 7th thing I hate the most that you do

You make me love you

It's awkward and silent

As I wait for you to say

But what I need to hear now

Is your sincere apology

And when you mean it, I'll believe it

If you text it, I'll delete it

Let's be clear

Oh I'm not coming back

You're taking 7 steps here

And compared to all the great things

That would take too long to write

I probably should mention

The 7 that I like

The 7 things I like about you

Your hair, your eyes, your old Levi's

And when we kiss, I'm hypnotized

You make me laugh, you make me cry

But I guess that's both I'll have to buy

Your hand in mine

When we're intertwined everything's alright

I want to be

With the one I know

And the 7th thing I like the most that you do

You make me love you

You do (oh)

I was speechless.

Armani's POV

I called Cho over so she could hear the a-maze-ing song I recorded with Jam last week. She was going to love it! I was going to perform it, solo, at our next concert. I couldn't wait!

I buzzed Cho in and she sort of stood awkwardly in front of the door. "I want you to hear something," I told her. I pressed play on the stereo and the music blasted through the speakers.

The days

are moving faster

than I ever thought they would

So there's

a missing factor

that would brighten my mood

you know you can see it

you know you can be it

so let's get to it

i'll show you through it

I'll write you a song

So you know

I've been here all along

Tired of games

Tired of being played

I'll be here all day long

I'll write you a so-o-o-o-o-o-o-ong

I'll write you a so-o-o-o-o-o-o-ong

You've been

mysterious

and I think you need my help

I'm trying

to go slower

so came and take my hand

you know you can see it

you know you can be it

so let's get to it

i'll show you through it

I'll write you a song

So you know

I've been here all along

Tired of games

Tired of being played

I'll be here all day long

I'll write you a so-o-o-o-o-o-o-ong

I'll write you a so-o-o-o-o-o-o-ong

(Instrumental)

I'll write you a song

So you know

I've been here all along

Tired of games

Tired of being played

I'll be here all day long

I'll write you a so-o-o-o-o-o-o-ong

I'll write you a so-o-o-o-o-o-o-ong

I'll write you a so-o-o-o-o-o-o-ong

I'll write you a so-o-o-o-o-o-o-ong

I'll write you a song

Cho smiled. "That sounds great! Is it for us to perform?"

I smirked. "Yeah, right! This is for my solo performance at our next concert. 'You' sent Jam and email and he agreed to record it for me. So, spotlight thief, how does THAT feel?" I laughed. Cho stood for a second, and then, out of nowhere, started to cry! I couldn't believe it! I laughed even harder and Cho ran out the room.

Cho's POV

That was it. I wasn't taking anymore of this.

I ran back to my room, trying really hard not to cry. My bags sat in a corner, sitting there until it was time to leave.

I grabbed them bags and put any other stuff I might need in them. Then I sat on my bed and grabbed my phone from my nightstand. I had to talk to my mom.

"Cho?"

"Mo-o-o-om!"

"Cho? What's wrong?"

"I'm coming home, OK?"

"Re-e-e-lly? Why so soon?"

I started to cry. "They've turned on me, mom. My best friends have turned on me!"

The phone dropped, but was picked up again. "Oh, honey, I'm so sorry! I'm arranging your flight right now. A limo will be there in 10 minutes, OK?"

"OK. Bye, mom."

"See you in a few."

I breathed a sigh of relief. Glad that was over. But-

there was still one more thing I had to do.

I walked out my room and made me way over to Jake's. Since the walls were soundproof, I had no idea what he was doing. I pressed a button on the intercom. A few minutes later, he spoke.

"Who is it?"

I sighed. "It's me, dufus."

Jake quickly buzzed me in. I opened the door, walked in, and sat down on his recliner near his big screen.

Jake was sitting at his drums, just staring back at me. Finally, I was the first one to speak.

"So, bot of my 'friends' have turned on me, right?"

Jake's eyes widened. He dropped his drum sticks.

"W-what happened with you and Armani?"

"Let's just say she kinda hates me."

We were silent for a while.

"Can you see in the future?"

Jake looked confused. "Huh?"

"That song you performed at the party, 'Before You Leave'? Are you psychic or something?"

His confusion got even worse. "What are you talking about?"

I got up and opened the door.

"You should be saying goodbye."
