This is a story about Dan Harding, a skilled computer programmer who works for Proteus Technologies, a firm that does software development for various government and military projects. An international espionage group has tried to force Dan into getting vital information on one of his employer's contracts for them. This story follows him through his attempts to figure out what to do.

Note: The idea is to build intrigue and suspense. While the plot allows to have fun with technology in the story, this is not a science fiction piece. Please don't go overboard in amazing, seemingly impossible gadgets.
