A dying man's final moment
Hark! The blue crescent moon of the night
May your call fall upon these deathly ears
May your silent moans beckon my broken soul,
You call upon me to bask in your descending light

Where your light may be bright and cold
But your harsh cold will not flood me so
A coldness I had longed for to take my soul
Is replaced by a beautiful heavenly warmth

Blue crescent moon of the night, forgive me
This warmth, it shall forever be mine
Beautiful heavenly warmth that surrounds me
You are like a burning flame

A candle in the night, may you forever shine
Let there be no sadness when I ascend to the sky
Let no tears fall for the life I will leave behind
Where no regrets shall remain on my heart

Hark! The blue crescent moon of the night
Your light recedes in the night, diminish
For you will no longer shine now that I begin to fly
Heavenly warmth that surrounds me so, receive me

Receive my soul, receive this broken heart of mine
There will be few who wish good rest upon my soul
Ease their hearts, as well as my own for when I return
I shall glimpse at the woman who gave me your warmth
