Did you ever pretend as a child that you could control the wind, earth, water or fire?
Prologue

“The four elementals are reincarnations of ancient protectors. If the children are torn apart, our world is left to evil. We must not allow this to happen, our lives depend on it!” Eterion declares to the monks.

“They must be together during the assault, each power intensifies the other. Air to water, earth to fire, water to earth and air to fire; they MUST be together! Do you understand?”

The high counselor is dazed by the wizard’s outburst, but agrees. “Yes…this can not be forgotten, we will do everything possible to prevent them from being separated. We shall send a convoy to find the earth elemental.”

Dire fear now possesses Eterion’s eyes. He looks around at the stone room, it is split and crumbles after being next to the earth’s core for thousands of years.

Finally he concludes, “The fire elemental destroyed his home, killing his father in blood lust. This was the first time he feared for his sister’s well being, before he even understood what he is capable of. If she is not found, his anger will annihilate everything in our world. She is his Eden, the one thing that will calm the rage in his heart. Be quick, your existence depends on it.”

The wizard parts the council without another word, just the wisp of his cloak as he dissolves into the walls. Silence leaves the Dwarves, apprehension lingers in their hearts. Not even the safety of their enchanted compound will protect them from what Amnynot could become.
