Don't judge a book by its cover.

I look in the mirror and what I see,
isn't a monster, the person is me.

It's covered in makeup and expensive clothes,
It's wearing funny hair ties and silly bows.

My reflection says I'm happy, normal, and true,
but my reflection is lying to you!

My parents are splitting up, so I'm confused and sad.
I'm crying hurt, and really mad!

If you look past the refection you see,
you might get to know the real me!

People whisper and lie about me,
but the judge me on what they see.

They don't know me, but they don't care,
they judge me on how I look and my hair.

God made me they way I am,
Blond hair blue eyes and tan.

Don't judge me on how I look,
It's just like judging a book,

You might find something unexpected inside,
If you go along for the ride.

So just look past the reflection of me,
you would find a completely different side of me.
