I wrote this about life as a sailor. All reviews are welcome.
Sailboats suspended in motion
waiting for the sun to rise
as night slowly lifts

Sailors board their ships
bringing aboard
life sustaining rations

making ready for a long journey
at sea
months they will be gone
without sight of land
nor family

A hard life
a sailor knows
this journey they must take
for their familys and their friends,
with bellys ache

Long months of fishing
Cold and ice
a dangerous living to be sure

Each days haul
a sailor knows
insures a way of life
as he strains with nets

Filled with fish
to sustain the local economy
