Remarkable unity came from that fateful day - a poem.
Our nation was besieged so diabolically,
Joining as one in faith, hope, and unity.
The twin towers falling rather symbolically,
As many perished while doing their duty.

The country united in grief stricken pain
With that gut-wrenching moment of torrid collapse.
The countless brave heroes, so many slain,
And our vigilant world facing too many gaps.

The tearful tallies were forever so clear,
The U.S. shaken to its very core.
Then united we aimed, without doubt or fear,
To avenge those deaths and true might restore.

Flight 93 served as a reminder
Of courage quite sacred put to the test.
Thwarting their captors with purpose and valor
They gave to those villains a most timely rest.
