Turning on the laptop,
She entered her cyberspace world.
Typing the online address,
She logged onto her email.
Scanning the screen,
She looked for his new message.
Holding her breath,
She saw the response to her invitation.
Clicking the mouse,
She highlighted his name.
Biting her lips,
She read the rejection.
Sobbing out loud,
She clicked on delete.
Touching the screen,
She sighed in resignation.
Whispering his name,
She knew it would be the last time.
