a free verse poem that sings in my heart about my daughter.
I see your eyes,
They smile at me
In my dreams,
And in photos others take of you.

I run for miles
To see those smiles
Reach out in space
To touch your face.

I see your eyes,
They smile at me
In my dreams,
And in photos others take of you.


Though far apart,
You're in my heart.
And there's a chasm I can't fathom,
It stretches between you and me.

Can't you see,
I'm reachin' out to you...

I see your eyes,
They smile at me
In my dreams,
