A coin has been struck to Honour our Veterans.

A TWO DOLLAR POPPY.

A two dollar coin pic for poem

We honour our Veterans in so many ways:
Parades and services and Memorial days.
We wear a red poppy for the blood which was spilled,
On the fields of battle by brave men who were killed.

We honour our Veterans who fought and came home
To loved ones, to families, though their troubled minds roam.
They remember their comrades who died for their cause,
And they mentally pray, as they silently pause.

We honour our Veterans in so many ways.
With Remembrance day coming in just a few days
a coin has been struck to salute and remember
Brave men and women, on the Eleventh, November.

We honour our Veterans; and as two dollar coins
circulate 'round the country, this red poppy joins
us together in spirit, as we proudly hold
a blood red symbol on a small disc of gold.
