Chapter 3. Barker Submission.
Chapter 3 Submissions. Yee haw!

Maya is not a dwarf per say. She is just small. Mutation has its glorious benefits, its payoffs and definitely its illusions. Maya began her career in the Royal Army at age 18 as a point to point ballistics technician and subway intelligence gather. If a rat could be trained to find a bomb in a tunnel, she could be trained to defuse the bomb. At the time, “The
Royal Army” was looking for people of different calibers in those days to find bombs in the trams and rail subways of Europe. At 19 and being of the size of a mere 4’ 2 she was the best thief, grease-man, and tunnel rat in “The Royal Army’s” program. Maya’s qualities were unique. Most human beings her size was born as a birth defect or with some kind of abnormality or defect. But contrary to medical science her physiology was flawless. She would just not grow at the rate of normalcy. The only type of defect if there is such a thing about her makeup is that she never hit the pubescent stage or her physical state. No breasts, or hair, or body odors of hormonal change. She became in a way a child and would remain that way for the rest of her life.
The London Bureau of Child Services found her as a toddler in a Southeast tunnel, with her homeless parents dead from starvation. Nestled in her father’s clothing, she was quiet, hungry, and living off the fat and blood of her father’s corpse. As a toddler, Maya did not realize that nutrition should come from a corpse cannibalism is not a word yet conscious in a toddler’s mind. She was munching on an intestine, her bead buried in the lower left area, a large torn hole of her father’s flannel. When the woman of Child Services pulled Maya’s body away from her father, she did not realize the child was still alive, and screamed when the child moved as she pulled her head out from the wound she had been feasting upon and was against at the sight of Maya’s face with an intestine dangling out of her mouth, her head and hair covered in blood as if she was having some type of rebirth experience, coming of age, gathering her father’s strength. As an adult, Maya, does not remember a thing.
It was obvious that The London Bureau of Child Services placed her in the care of a medical family. A mother who was a Psychiatrist, a father who was a Neurosurgeon. Her name as a toddler unknown, so Claude named her Maya the Mayan creational goddess of the universe, bore forth out of her father the universe, cut from his wound that her mother the darkness made, and put forth onto the chart of the Celestial Seas.

She had a thing for puzzles, and humor, and was quite quiet during her grammar education. She despised pity and requires total independence. Most short and people of tiny stature hate small jokes or puns, Maya uses it to her advantage such as, “Hey Shorty, can you reach this.” Maya would reply with a smile, “Why yes, yes I can, if you come down here and give me a kiss so I don’t have to smell the rotten stench of your cock in my face, sure I can reach that.” Maya definitely is “Spunky” and full of attitude to say the least.
Maya has some gifts that come to her smallness, her as the French say “Petite Fume” and moves with speed, as smoke and with the stealthiest precision, and prowess. In high school she excelled in gymnastics, acrobatics, and tumbling, and swimming. Her mind is crisp and she read everything in the English literature department’s library including architectural and sculpture plans and designs. It was said by one Lt. Colonel of her regiment that Maya could defuse a bomb by the age of 17 and could get her hands and arms into any shallow part of a machine and defuse a bomb with scissors and dentist tools without sight all by feeling. She was a nocturnal creature as most kids are who were picked on during the day, tends to run into conflictions head on without hesitation or sometimes thinking and could sit still underground, shallow her breathing and fake death. She was so good at Feigning that she could be sitting right next to you and you would not even notice. She even once climbed into the lap of a sleeping sergeant at his desk, and was light to the touch he did not wake, while even being made fun of in a pan a mime exhibition Yes and she is a prankster. If there was a situation that required her size and shape Maya is on duty.
She was on a routine bomb run. Riding a tram through tunnel 3 heading toward London, about mid way through her run is when Maya saw the passenger Paul in the opposing train. Maya just looked up and analysis what she saw within a period of five seconds that seem to slow down within one second. Her visualization was crisp. All the cars were empty except the fifth, there was a figure, alone, in the center of car 5. It was Paul was hunched over as if in pain from vomiting or suffering sickness. Maya thought for a moment she saw horns coming out of his head? “Very Odd!” She muttered under her breathe, “how strange,” and then began to see some type of gas and blisters surrounding him, and his clothes were turning to ash. “Very odd indeed” Maya thought, and pulled the lever of the emergency stopped switch.
