Slightly dark poem about sunflowers.
Sunflowers

In the spring
I planted seeds in
Yoghurt pots,
Left them on the sill.
By summer
Their shining faces
Looked up to the sky,
Under white hot rays
They opened up their petals,
And now
Their blackened faces
Rot into the earth,
Eaten by worms and spiders,
Never to be reborn.
