A short poem I wrote
The lily

The roaming lily blossoms in the east,
Its early budding, a cascading canvas of orange, red, and gold.

As it wanders throughout the day, it becomes a blue and white paint splashed portrait with a golden centre.

When it rains it burns a burnished silver sheen,
Sometimes sudden flashes erupt from it surface striking awe, fear, and pleasure on those fortunate enough to gaze upon it.

In the cold of winter, the lily spread its White pollen upon those who bear witness to it.

In the west the lily closes throwing colors of gold, red, and violet on the tired heads below.
