Autumn leaves (Form: Shadorma)
Patchwork Quilt

Northern winds
unmask branches bare;
leaves dance and
fill the air.
A whispered colored farewell
is their final prayer.

They lay, a
patchwork quilt upon
the cooling
earth, now drawn
protectively as rebirth
dreams await springโ€™s dawn.
