A poem about dragons. I don't' do poetry often, so please be kind.
They appear throughout time
flying on bats wings,
raining down fire,
stealing the princesses

To be slain by the knights.
Always the evil,
the awful, the feared.
But who ever thought

That maybe, just maybe,
there was a reason
to all that they tried.
Maybe not just desire,

Maybe there was a need.
They needed the people,
the cattle, the sheep,
so they could survive.

If you think that maybe,
just maybe, they stole,
they killed, they plundered
for a good reason . . .

Search out one of their kind
and ask it yourself.
Then come back to me
and tell me how it went.
