Tempting fate, injury, and even worse, surfers endeavor to harness the waves - a poem.
They dress in rubbery, skin-tight wetsuits
And with virile, dynamic, buoyant devices,
Attempt to cruise surely and at length
The slippery, pounding, and mysterious waves
Toward the oncoming beach.

Coordinating those subliminal, explosive,
And daring drives
With heartbeats racing and the frigid ocean’s
Tantalizing aura impeding their adept and skillful aim,
They progressively ride the fluid and forceful waves
To near perfection.

Love for the outdoors, the beaches,
And the vacuous, deadly ocean
Leads adventurous and gamely boarders
To partake in these dangerous and windswept activities,
Surfing the glorious, indomitable waves
While ensuring their safety
And the safety of fellow, industrious comrades.
