the goal of family accomplished
Realized

It was just a matter of time before a child opened his eyes and realized,
We hadn’t been alive.
Sleepwalking through time was his only claim to fame.
And that’s not truly his.
It belonged to the man who gave his name.
And it was shared by the woman who nurtured his mind.
Then, it was consumed by the children who smote their hearts.
Those children, they perfected the game.
As they circled their prey, a prey they recognized and emulated.
A cry went out to be kind and be quick.
Asked to aim sharp and aim true and to not miss the mark.
The prey they consumed was the dark.
