Two sonnets of two people that might not have meant to be together. Or were they?
With all her strength resisting desire,

She fights herself and her demons inside.

While eyes are locked they burn with fire,

Afraid of love she runs away to hide.

To her, his smile is like the sunshine,

But in her mind she doesn’t know him well.

With parents judging his life as they dine,

The feeling in her heart begins to swell.

Between them sparks fly starts to stir up lust,

Sadly he didn’t feel the same as she.

With sorrow in his heart he is angel dust,

Her death confirms that they can never be.

As he leaves her heart breaks with might of death,

She says she loves him with her final breath.

He hears her cry before her life is gone,

He smiles at her so she can see it.

Neither parents liked their romantic song,

So they just let them suffer as they sit.

His father knew what he did not want to,

He didn’t realize what he had just lost.

But his father knew what he had to do,

Making the sacrifice, her life the cost.

If they had known his evil mind and planned,

They could be living in each other’s love.

She wouldn’t be living if they made a stand,

What would happen if it was a small shove?

No one could ever know what would have been,

If someone hadn’t committed a sin.
