Recent work that speaks as if love were a lost limb and how the feeling remains yet taunts
Vacant days and empty breaths,
Thoughts consumed in eternal depth.
Vices many, immortal debts,
Silent, soft, in little deaths.

A furious wind, storms draw nigh,
A crashing wave, the rising tide,
A vibrant rose no eye can abide,
A blazing star, a fire inside.

The tempest still, the waters calm,
Hushed petals lie, their bloom withdrawn,
The sun without ember, a barren, black dawn.
Poisoned with a kiss, a jealous pawn

Crawls to find a subtle beat,
Solace, untamed, in a carnal treat.
Hollow tears taste bittersweet,
Incense and flesh, sacrificial heat.

The gentle night chimes within,
Ringing echoes of venerable sin.
Cold moon and dead light, my closest kin,
Your grace, brightest love, never mine again.
