Chocolate Bliss

I pop the luscious treat
into my mouth,
and I am instantly comforted
by this food of the Gods.

I savor the rich creaminess
better than sunshine on my tongue,
as my mouth becomes
a delightfully sweet paradise.

As it starts to melt,
so does my heart,
while the glorious cocoa
fills me with endorphins.

It is gone too soon,
and I am unable to resist
the temptation of this
sweet, unadulterated bliss.
Without hesitation,
I pop another.
