Convicted

I can't escape
the hold he has on me
chains wrapped tightly
around my heart
caged like a bird
with no desire to fly.

Convicted without a trial
he is my warden
his mesmerizing eyes
hypnotize me
forever under
his command.

His burning lips touch mine
just one blissful kiss
and my not-so-virtuous soul
