Nature Hike

Early morning
dawn blushed another day gently breaking
birds chirped their avian song
awakening my senses.

I explore nature's beauty
as I walk along my favorite hiking trail
inhaling earthen smells
beauty at every turn
relishing Autumn flowers bleeding out their beauty
leaves and grasses
trees with dew disclosing spider laces
radiant sun shining on its quiescent pond
reflecting nature's colors
green, orange and brown
from crystal clear water.

As night ebbs
I continue with gusto
hesitant to end
this wonderful relaxing day
of enjoying nature's majesty at every turn.
