Remembering through the senses.
Sensual Reminders

Sensual memories dig deep in our brain
long past the incident to be brought up again.

When least expected, a smell slides by
to remind us of love and stir up a sigh.

With a hastening heartbeat, a well-known cologne
relights a longing, a look, a loving tone.

The touch of a hand on sensitive skin
sends shudders of memories deep within.
