A thunderstorm frightens life on a farm, only to be calmed by supernatural powers.
A decorative display of flashing lights,
Electrifying to the fearless eye.
Cumulonimbus clouds shroud the night,
Illuminating the dark gray sky.

A blinding bolt ravages the forest.
The large spruce comes crashing down.
A flock of crows screech their chorus,
as they flee to the solid ground.

Frightened horses gallop around the pasture,
while the farmer rings the alarm.
Ranchers take mount, to avoid disaster,
and lead the herds to the farm.

A curtain of rain arrives with the breeze,
an addition to the stormy array.
Miss Martha drops to her knees
"Lord, give us a miracle this day."

The black blankets in the sky disperse.
The monsoon reduced to a shower.
Glitter sparkles above the earth
Miss Martha praises God's power.
