Poem telling what happens behind the scenes on a cold night on the street.
People walking down the street
A creature lying in the snow
A monster trying to disguise itself as a man
Sitting in a position that would hurt the best of gymnasts
Cowering from the cold, oblivious to the world around it
Long untamed hair crawling around its chin
As if trying to choke the very life from it
Hands blistered from the bitter cold
A club covered in a paper coating in its hand
A hair piece of some kind lying out in front of it
"Change" it says over and over as if a broken record
Trying to recall its lost name dreams
A shot is heard at the corner
Where the monster seems to call its home
And people still walk down the street.
