A short story
The rainy day.
"Happiness of the whole humanity is not worth a tear of an offended child."

That day was normal for everyone, but no for her. That day was the worst day in her life, because it was the first day of her life without him. She was so young, but it seemed that her life was senseless at that moment. She thought: "Love over and life ended", in spite of her two small children, who, frightened, nestled in her arms, feeling her helplessness. It was so hard to stay in this flat, which still kept memories about their love and about him. She opened windows, naively hoping that the blistering wind could take away these memories and his smell. She swept up her younger daughter, took her elder daughter by the hand and they went into the street. They went a bit along the street, the sky darkened, then the rain came in a hearty flood and big rain puddles spilt. Elder daughter slipped, fell and cried so bitterly. Younger started to cry too, then she did too. It was raining without ceasing and bitter tears were mixing with rain drops and flowed down their cheeks. It seemed the all world bewailed her broken destiny and not a rain cloud, but the cloud of despair and loneliness plunged the world into darkness. That rain, those tears and those small arms, which hugged her so strong, stayed in her memory forever. It is possible to understand and forgive a treason, but it is impossible to forget and forgive bitter tears of children.
