There's something about a McCartney songs that lightens my heart

{center"Venus and Mars"

"Sitting in the stands of the sports arena,
Waiting for the show to begin.
Red lights, green lights, strawberry wine...
A good friend of mine follows the stars.
Venus and Mars are alright tonight."

Whenever I've heard this
Paul McCartney tune of the Linda and Wings Era, I'm transported to a time when I was younger, the world seemed more hopeful, and it wasn't hard to have a good time with good friends.

I'd catch the song at a grocery store, or very seldom on my chosen radio station. I didn't have it in my extensive vintl collection, so it held me in a trance every time it found me.

Through the marvel of e-Ba shopping, I got the album in the original cover. I still have a way to play albums. I've listened to side one three times already. I'll select it to put me to sleep tonight.

Then maybe I can carry that light-hraated hope and belief I had in my youth into my dreams, then back into my life.

Such comfortable music....
