It's about a little boy of about 8-9 walking with his grandpa and asking him about life.
Why do I live?
Why do I care?
Why do I breathe
This God given air?

Why do I sing?
Why do I pray?
Why do I waste
Each God given day?

Why do I help?
Why do I share?
Why do I pity
Those in despair?

Why do I love?
Why do I dream?
Why can’t I find answers
To what this all means?

Well that’s the best part,
My God forsaken friend.
You don’t need the answers now,
You’ll find them in the end.

For now, just live.
Just sing, and just dance
For now, just make life worth living
Whenever you get the chance.

It’s good to wonder,
But don’t stress about “What if?”
Don’t worry about change,
It’s okay for things to shift.

Be true to yourself
And everyone around you.
Today’s a day to start out fresh
To relax and to renew.

Follow your heart,
Try to do what’s right,
But if you fail at first
Don’t worry, it’s alright!

But to answer your questions ,
I’ll be thoroughly quick.
Just listen closely
And the answer will stick.

You live because you have purpose,
You care because you love,
You breathe because, well, look at all the air!
There’s more than enough!

You sing because you’re affectionate,
You pray because you’re hopeful,
You pity those in need because
You’re pleasing and you’re helpful.

You help because it’s right,
You share because it’s kind,
You love because you follow your heart
And your dreams reflect your peace of mind.

Don’t question your state of being.
Instead, embrace its strength!
You don’t know how long your time here lasts,
You don’t know your life’s length.

So be the light in the darkest of times,
Show others the amazing things you can do.
Be glorious and faithful and great,
But most important of all, just be you

Follow these instructions,
And kid, you’ll be just fine.
Make this world a better place
For all of mankind.
