My love, she may try to hide herself, but I know her all to well.
She wants to be the bad girl

The tough-as-nails harlot

The girl that no one can touch

But her eyes deceive her

Though her body is as a statue

And her jaw set as if stone

I can see the fire roaring within her

The hurt and the confusion

It all emanates from her eyes

It kills me to see her this way

Sorrow and everlasting despair

Occupy her hypnotic eyes

The ones that entranced my lonely soul

But I don't understand why

Why must she pretend nothing has occurred

Pretending to be whole

As if her heart isn't shattered

Maybe she is trying to forget

Forget that she alone ripped my heart out

And drowned my soul

In the blood of lost love
