He ruined thier lives; he WON'T ruin thier lives...
A DECADES COURAGE

Stains most uncarefully placed
lead in directions never to take.
An indiscriminate decision that may
steal many years of living away.

Wild the craze that sanity seeks
moment to moment it, seeping, leaks.
An individual casing the streets;
the opportunistic horror repeats.

Mask the face of intentions eyes;
a mastery of the inward lies.
Succumb the mind in effortless tries;
incessant the will screaming it's cries.

Mouth the deceptive alluring draw
taking the flower, breaking the law.
A victim subdued by fatal flaw;
the last light of day ever she saw.

Futile the efforts or thoughts of escape
the best of the worst the spirit must make.
What? To the body the mind must say
and live through, again, another day.

Shore up courage for the keeping of heart
find, as the blind, an end of the dark.
Bursting through doors to be torn apart
unto that light where liberty start.

Gaze then and behold at last
green the taste of the neighbors grass,
the calming breeze, the sassafras.
To safety running is freedom at last.

Tender reunion for family and home;
the world can see a bounty of hope.
A decade of courage in moments will show
how currents of joy and happiness flow...
