My thoughts on my life when I turned fifteen.
I recently turned fifteen, and I have been thinking about how long i've lived. fifteen years, it might not seem that long to some but it has literally been my lifetime so far. I think of all thats happened since I was born, all the world events and all the events in my life. All the events caused or effected by me and all those that wouldn't have been had I not been born. I think of the decisions i've made and those I could have. What I did right, what I did wrong. I think of what I can do, what I will do and what I must do. But despite these thoughts the one thing that I think of the most is...what is happening right now? Whats going on in the house across the street? An apartment in Chicago? The park in some small Oklahoma town? Some thatched cottage in some far away country? Because for every moment I have, there are billions more for everyone else. How many babies were born as we had my birthday dinner? How many were married as I blew out the candles? And as I unwrapped the gifts how many people saw another person across a crowded room and thought "Thats her/him, they're the one for me!"?

I think of all the joy i've had in my short fifteen years and than I multiply that by seven billion. Because so many amazing, joyous and beautiful things happen every second. Even for every second we lie silent, asleep, or sad, billions of other are happy and that makes me happy. The simple fact that I know that all these amazing beautiful things are happening at any given moment gives me joy. For every bit of sad, terrible, horrible, sorrowful, painful, angry, scariness that there is in the world there is the cry of a newborn, a first kiss, a family dinner, the ringing of wedding bells, a family reunited, and a child's smile. I think of all these things, and all thats happened not just for me, but for the whole world in these short fifteen years. And then I wonder. "What will happen the rest of my life?"

Now I have a question for you, yes you: The reader. What about you? What about your life, your moments, your events? Whats happened since you started reading this? Whats happening at this very moment as you're reading THIS LINE? Stop reading. Put this down and GO! See whats happened! Go tell your mother how much you love her. Go hug your best friend. Go tell the one you love just how much they mean to you. Because when you do these things, you make a moment, and not just any moment, but a happy one.
