Thank You MY Anonymous!
Dear Anonymous,

My head is swirling…

The past two weeks have been a blur. I am so busy with work and life literally ripping at me, tearing me away from my writing, my head is just swirling. In the past three days alone I have had no time to do anything else but a contracted job. Writing is what I desire to do, but actually getting the TIME to do it has been impossible. After 14 hour days, my brain is a pile of useless mush. The only consolation I have is knowing it will ease up soon.

I am so grateful for your thoughtful and most precious gift to me. I will not name it because that is between you and me, MY Anonymous.

Just because you have not seen anything from me does not mean I do not appreciate your gift. No, in fact, it is the most encouragement I have had recently, and it is something that has renewed a drive within me, though time is not my friend these past few weeks. It will ease up shortly, and I WILL be back to writing, doing the thing I LOVE to do.

I don’t know how saying “thank you” could be enough. You don’t know what you’ve done to me. You don’t know that you gave someone who has been riding on the fumes of hope a reason to hope. My Anonymous, you made my heart jump. For the first time in a loooong time (sorry, I had to write it that way - it’s just been that long) I jumped up and down with excitement - oh yes I did! For that I thank you.

You put me in a position to think that just maybe my stories could possibly be interesting enough if I worked harder at them.

You gave me a gift that I could never have dreamed of. Do you think what you did was just something ordinary? No! You gave me so much more than what you think you gave. You gave me hope, silent encouragement, a jolt of self-confidence (if you knew me, you would know that is huge), a belief that I might be good one day if I put more effort in. Believe me, I will, and for that, thank you.

My life is chaos right now and the past few years have been challenging, but I will fit more writing into my week because of your not-so-simple act. “Enjoy!” you wrote, so carefree! Ha! Time is a luxury for me, but because of you I think it is worth fitting more of my passion (writing) in.

You floored me with your generosity MY Anonymous. Because of you I see thoughtfulness, generosity, random acts of kindness behind that word. Thank you for that as well.

I don’t know what I did to deserve your gift, but I will try not to disappoint you.

THANK YOU AND HAVE A WONDERFUL LIFE MY ANONYMOUS FRIEND!!!
